He sits alone at his dining table for four,
Papers piled all around.
He’s scrambling to get his affairs in order,
Calling here and there.
He’s been on hold for far too long,
He curses the phone and rubs his head
I’m watching him crumble
Fighting tears in his eyes
As he repeats yet again
“No, she’s decreased.”
AN- Poem based on true story of today’s events as I tried to comfort and support a gentleman I care for who just lost his wife in May. Their love story is one to envy and his grief is a painful but beautiful glimpse into just how much she still means to him.
Utterly heartbreaking. It’s a horrid thing to have to go through let alone watch unable to do the one thing you want to. Help.
Beautiful piece it’s so very tragic and foretelling of a pain that we all wish never to experience.
I wrote it because I felt like you’d tell me to if I told you about it. It tore my heart
It will tear apart anyone with a hint of compassion. It’s a really beautiful piece but truly heartbreaking đź’”
